Frequently asked questions

WHEN SHOULD I SEND MY SAVE THE DATES AND INVITATIONS?

This ultimately comes down to you, and there is no set rule. However I would suggest sending your Save the dates our around 1 year before the big day.

Wedding Invitations can be sent 6 months + in advance, however it is not always necessary. I suggest having your RSVP’s back around 10 weeks before the big day, so if you back track a few months before this, that will give you an idea of when to consider sending your invitations out, as well as giving guests plenty of time to respond and make any arrangements. Please remember the design and production process can take a few months, so take this into account when thinking of your timescales.

I’M IN A HURRY, DO YOU DO RUSH ORDERS?

In short - I will do my best! Clients who leave their stationery to the last minute often ask if I can still help get everything designed and produced quicker. This will depend on my schedule, but will do my best to help. There is an additional fee of £100+ for rush orders, this may change slightly depending on the depth of designs.

HOW MANY INVITATIONS SHOULD I ORDER?

First of all remember you only need to order an invitation per household, not per guest.

I would always suggest ordering a few extra invitations just in case there are any changes to your guest list. You do not need to allow an invitation for yourself as I will include a keepsake of your save the dates, day and evening invitations. Please also remember you are able to change the quantity of invitations during the design stage, however this can be more difficult during production - but please just ask and I will see what I can do.

HOW ACCURATE ARE THE COLOURS ON THE SCREEN?

Unfortunately I am unable to confirm the colours on your screen will be the same as the printed invitations as all devices display colours slightly differently.

I would recommend viewing your proofs on a laptop/computer to ensure you are viewing the closet colour representation.

DO WE OWN THE DESIGNS?

All designs remain copyright of Lulabee. Purchase of any stationery item(s) does not transfer copyright of the design.

DO I HAVE TO SEND SAVE THE DATE CARDS?

It isn't essential to send save the date cards but it is a thoughtful way of giving your guests plenty of notice and build some anticipation. It also gives you a bit of a breather to plan the details, safe in the knowledge your guests have the date in their diaries.

HOW DOES YOUR PROCESS WORK?

Please click here to download my full PDF Process and Pricing guide

WILL I SEE PROOFS?

Always! I will always send over a digital PDF proof for you to check over. It is really important that you check all text is correct as once you have signed any designs off, it will go to print, therefore you will be charged in full for re-prints.

ARE ENVELOPES AND LINERS INCLUDED IN THE PRICE?

Envelopes are included with all invitations, save the dates and RSVP cards.

Envelope liners are an additional extra so let me know if you are interesting in including these.

WILL OUR INVITATIONS BE SHOWCASED?

Sneak peaks may be shown on social media, but you will never be tagged in any photos and no photos in full will be shown in full until your guests have received their invites. Full flat lay images could be added to social media sites either a few months after the invitations have been sent or after the wedding completely – depending on my busy schedule.

Should your wedding day require no publicity/social media sharing, please let me know and we will have a chat about what you would like us to keep offline.

WILL OUR RSVP'S HAVE OUR ADDRESS PRINTED?

If you are having RSVP cards, you will receive an envelope with these as standard and this will include a label with your delivery address on it. This will be created in keeping with your wedding stationery set.

WHAT ABOUT EVENING GUESTS?

I wouldn't suggest sending out Save the Dates to your evening guests, as this can cause confusion... and they may think they are invited to the day! If you are set on sending out to evening guests, you could consider changing your wording to 'Save the Night/Evening'.

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO GET MY ORDER?

This really depends on the design work involved. I would usually suggest allowing around 6-8 weeks from design stages to production. Production turn around also depends, but usually takes 2-4 weeks depending on the design.

HOW WILL I RECEIVE MY INVITATIONS?

I love putting together the final suite of invitations and your order will be carefully packed with love and presented in a well wrapped, protective box. It is then posted using a signed for service and can be delivered to any mainland UK postal address or overseas on request. As the size of each order is different, the postage cost varies and the price for delivery will be included on your final invoice. However you are very welcome to collect from my studio, should you want to save on posting costs.

CAN YOU COPY A DESIGN?

I will never copy a design. However I encourage you to send inspiration and ideas you like and I can create something in keeping with this style.

CAN YOU HELP WITH WORDING?

Of course, I do ask for wording to be sent via form so I can use this in your initial designs, but it does not need to be 100% confirmed at this stage.

We can amend and adjust throughout the design period, but initially it really helps with layout and sizing. I am here as a guide throughout the process, so don't hesitate to ask for help or you you check out my wording advice page for more inspiration.

WE NOTICED A MISTAKE ON OUR DESIGNS?

If you notice a mistake, please contact me as soon as possible to arrange amendments and reprints. Unfortunately, as noted in my Terms and Conditions, the responsibility for checking proofs falls to you, the client, so any reprints will incur a charge.
